Legionnaire Magic League (LML) is here! This past month, our casual, meager playgroup decided to run our regular “Legionnaire Magic” games in a “league” type of format, both as a way to play more regularly when unable to schedule group gatherings, and as a way for those less collocated to participate in the meta on equal footing. Every week, each player was scheduled for one match against a random opponent, conducted either in person or via webcam depending on feasibility/convenience. Our decks are uber-casual, have no sideboards, and attempt to cultivate a Magic environment where virtually any card is playable, often meandering beyond the cozy confines of the 93/94 pool.
Our first LML month was a success and we’re already planning to run it back in March! Wins/points don’t matter and are recorded purely for posterity, but we thought it’d still be fun to compile deck photos (I know, I know...) and results, to have them to look back upon later. Here they are!
